Challenge
Faced with a total ban on all events during the pandemic, Hammarby Football faced a challenge. The club depends on visitors to survive and season ticket sales are a significant part of the turnover – in the case of non-attended events, all season tickets would have to be refunded and would be devastating to the club’s finances. The challenge was crystal clear – Hammarby must somehow reach their supporters and make them understand the meaning and seriousness of the situation and get them to “Stand by” their season tickets.

Solution
12,345 supporters chose to actively remain via the visessnartigen.se landing page. Hammarby’s financial security was secured and the club’s sporting efforts could continue. The music video currently has over 340k plays which makes it the most played movie so far on Hammarby’s Youtube. It has a total of over 350k plays on their social channels.
Tributes flowed on various fan forums and social media channels. Memes were created around certain segments of the music video. Newspapers wrote about the incredible acclaim from supporters.
The music video was also chosen as the video of the year by the editor of the industry magazine popmani.se for the following reason: “The music video is fantastically well produced with nostalgic flashbacks to remind us of the good times in previous years.”. A video that highlights so many things that we take for granted in normal times, but which were so painfully far away.
