Animation

Fun and smart!

Animation is versatile, both in form and content. It can be anything from stop motion, artistic short films to graphic explainers and 3D. It’s a great way to show complex events and create educational instructional videos, but also to explain abstract ideas, data and statistics. Animation can address difficult and sensitive topics where it sometimes can be problematic to have real people in front of the camera.

A designed character can be tailored to the message, something we can’t do with a filmed human to the same extent. With animation and illustration, we can influence the viewer through design and form, without limitations.

At Diggin we love to take on big and small animation projects. It’s also common for us to mix medias. For us the purpose defines the form of animation. We’re not locked into a form or a level but adapt to the purpose, goals and subject.

Analysis and research
We go through the purpose, goals, conditions and guide you how to use film to achieve your business goals.
Concept and idea
In this step, we choose which style the animation should have. We make a number of suggestions and based on these we discuss a direction. This is where the budget is set, based on the complexity of the animation.
Script and storyboard
In this step we produce a script for voice and screenplay. A mutual sign off on the content before the design phase starts.
Design
When the picture script and art style are approved, illustrations are produced. If necessary, an animatic is produced. Sign off on design before the animation phase starts.
Animate and bring the film to life
Finally we can start to animate! The most common is that we do a basic animation of the whole film. We fill in what is missing between our styleframes and let objects and characters come to life.
Final delivery
The films are delivered after final approval. We can also adapt subtitles and voice overs in different languages.
Added value
Should teasers be created, channels adapted or infographics extracted?
Distribution and dispersion
This is something we are happy to do and gladly take responsibility for.
Infographic

Explain the difficult in a simple way! To make it easier for the recipient to absorb data and statistics, it's a good idea to visualize facts as infographics. We're used to producing infographics both for moving content and for the web.

2D explainers

To explain something abstract, animation is perfect! Let the pictures speak and choose the style that you prefer.
